Laura Ixchel Mayorga Peniche

Ixchel Mayorga is a Business Management Student at the Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico at the Faculty of Accounting and Administration. Mayorga had an interest in animal welfare ever since childhood and participated in scientific dissemination programs. She was a student advocate for the New Roots Institute in representation of Mexico and part of the Latin American alumni. She is excited to focus her career on the plant-based movement and animal advocacy. In her free time, Mayorga loves to read, learn new fun facts, participate in Effective Altruism Yucatan activities, enjoy her favorite movies, and spend quality time with family and friends.
