Carrie spent nine years working as an academic librarian before shifting their focus to nonprofits in 2020. They hold a Master of Library and Information Science from Drexel University, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. Their research background is in using empathetic user experience design methods to create safer spaces for people to learn & connect. Outside of work, Carrie loves hiking, taking photos, and writing poetry.
