Joleen began working with New Roots Institute as an intern in 2019 in her freshman year at the University of California, Berkeley. In addition to her work with New Roots Institute, Joleen has completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Economics and Policy with a minor in Public Policy. She previously worked for nonprofits The UC Theatre and the Magnes Museum in Berkeley, California. She enjoys taking care of her pet redfoot tortoise and learning about nutrition in her spare time. Joleen hopes to influence people to make positive changes for their health through diet and exercise.
