Prior to joining New Roots Institute, Michaela spent eight years working in the content marketing space. She holds a B.S. in Advertising from Boston University. Her volunteer experience at animal advocacy organizations and sanctuaries drove her to join the movement full-time. Michaela has spent her career compelling digital audiences through written, illustrated, video, and audio storytelling. She aims to spotlight the web of inequities within the food system and to empower others to make compassionate choices. Outside of work, Michaela loves exploring parks and community gardens, reading, bird watching, and meditating.
