Nichalus earned a BS in Biological Science and MA in Philosophy from the University of Mississippi. While attending graduate school, he worked for UM's Office of Sustainability as a data coordinator and climate fellow. He believes that advancements in science and ethics increasingly strengthen the case for the widespread recognition of animals as key stakeholders in social, economic, and political developments. In his free time, Nichalus enjoys hiking, writing poetry, and improving his barista skills.
